Inspirational video

This is probably the best video I have ever seen on youtube (or any other video sharing site) Its about this father and son partnership. Dick (father) and Rick (son) Hoyt from america. Rick was partially strangeled by his umbilical cord when he was born so was brain-damaged and cannot control his limbs. But He can communicate by tapping a computer key with his head.

After he told his father that he wanted to run in a charity run for a paralysed schoolmate, his father agreed and ran the race carrying him. Rick said that he did not feel paralysed when he was being pushed in a wheelchair by his dad… so from then on, they enter marathons and triathalons together.

They cant enter as a singel runner, or as a wheelchair competitor so Dick just runs so fast pushing his son, that they qualify within the regular race qualification time for regular runners. (the young man qualifying time not the senior category!) Its amazing! and they are only 35 mins off the world record marathon time! Because of the races, Dick (the dad) even managed to survive a heart blockage simply because he was very fit.

So in some sense the son even saved the father:) While I still don’t think marathons are the way to go for optimal exercise, but hey if its for and inspirational use like this its alright (just this time hehe)hope you enjoy the vid. Fireworks URBAN!

Fireworks URBAN

This whole sgskaters outing was organized by jaccy but initiated by tianjun. A ‘Youth’ Outing.
An outing is NOT ABOUT how many people is going , but who is going. Great friends comes with great joy ~!

We met at 7pm at memorial but Lex was 30 minutes late ._. Oh yea. The oldest ! hahahaha
slalomed and slide abit than we decided to Urban around the city through the thick forest of crowds.

Although we don’t know where are we going, we just skate like there’s no one stopping us ! Weee
While skating, we saw a bunch of skaters too, the rollersports team. So we decided to join them, but those unfriendly creatures doesn’t want us to tag along with them -_- . cheesepie
Lex never liked the idea of skating through crowded places and instead took off his skates and went back ._.

While i was counting down to the last 5 minutes before the fireworks begin , we were like soldiers penetrating through the grasses(crowds) and FINALLY reached our location which is the below picture. HAHAHA. SONG BO ? The expression of the drivers were like ‘ WTF , how i wish I’m on skates now ‘ Traffic police failed their job, but its not their fault, THEY were overrun !

And we were like standing in the middle of the road and watching fireworks? Cool eh ?

After the fireworks which is like 5 minutes longer than the past few fireworks that I’ve seen few days back. Display was ravishing as compared to the rest. HOOOOO~ ahaha. This is my 4th time of seeing fireworks in this WEEK !

The crowd was freaking rowdy..

We than go to marina, the big patch of grass, sit down and have a great chat.
I almost slept sia. The atmosphere was soooo prefect for couples. And of cause, Picture taking time!

Than we went to BK. And we were the last customers. Why are we so lucky?

Okay, heres the best part. I actually planned to skate from town to my place. Butkit Merah.
But tianjun was taking the train alone, so i decided to accopanied him.
We didn’t really planned to take off our skates, because we would definately miss the last train because of my seba ._.
Than we CHIONG in , tab the card and skated off to the MRT> WOOT ! the FEELING is super shiok k.

Please hor, mY PANTS IS NOT a ladies cargo ! its just S size ! a rrrr.

NEVER in my life. A personal achievement. the floor is so nice to slide/slalom!
When i reach Tiong Bahru station, i even slided(ACID) in fornt of the control station, that guy was like looking at me , STUNNED! LOL!
Damn i love it.
